About Us

In about 2017 several McDowall locals were concerned about the high numbers of wildlife, especially wallabies, killed on local roads. Those locals had found each other via Facebook. Those people formed the McDowall Wildlife Preservation Group. In about 2019 those concerned locals found Brisbane Catchments Network and began attending the monthly meetings where it was learned that the catchments of Cabbage Tree Creek and Downfall Creek were previously looked after by the lapsed Northern Catchments Network.

On 20/March/2022 a well-attended public meeting was held at Bunyaville and North Brisbane Catchments was formed officially.
